Tam’s Measurement Consulting specializes in consultation of electromagnetic (EM) characterization of materials. Kent Tam, our principal consultant, has over 30 years of practical experience in EM testing, automated laboratory test setup implementations, and handheld inspection tool development. He is a subject matter expert in this area, having invented and developed unique measurement systems and inspection tools. More than five of his inventions were awarded US patents.
OUR VISION
Despite readily available technical literature on EM characterization methods and test setups for materials, most engineers entering the EM measurement field are still challenged by extensive self-learning and experimenting in order to understand the subject matter. Tam’s Measurement Consulting assists businesses to set up their EM test equipment, consult on material characterization and test methods, train test engineers on test procedures, and coach inspection tool developers on device development approaches. Through our engineering classes and workshops, test engineers, tool developers, and test laboratories are enabled to support their test and inspection requirements. Tam’s Measurement Consulting is one of the most extensive coaching and training resources for EM test engineers and inspection tool developers. We strive to transfer our EM measurement knowledge and expertise to both new and experienced engineers in this field.
